Join Textile Artist Jess Rayson at the Yard Print Studio for this one day workshop on how to design a repeat pattern on a lino block and handprint your own apron.
In this workshop:
· You will learn how to design and carve your own lino block to create a repeat pattern on fabric.
· Jess will guide you through all the creative processes to produce your own unique printed designs.
· A varied and fun day designing, carving and printing.
You will produce:
· Your own lino block, ready to use on the day and in future projects at home.
· Lots of sample patterns with your block.
· A handprinted apron in your new design.
All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring any fabric you would particularly like to print on.
Jess Rayson is a textile printmaker based in rural Gloucestershire. Jess has been designing and handprinting her fabrics for several years and runs her own small business selling her unique homewares. She has a real passion for print, pattern and colour and loves producing work that is both beautiful and useful. She particularly enjoys helping others to discover their own love of printmaking.
