MAKE YOUR OWN WOODBLOCK PRINT CHRISTMAS CARDS

Join print tutor Nichola Goff at The Yard Print Studio this festive season and learn to make woodblock prints, producing your own set of hand printed cards or a unique set of prints that could become a wonderful gift.
In a small group setting you will go through the basics of the woodblock printing process from design, carving and printing to produce relief prints that you will use to make a small edition of cards or prints.
You will learn:
How to transfer designs to a woodblock
How to prepare and carve woodblock using carving tools.
How to prepare relief printing inks and ink up your block.
How to relief print from a woodblock using the Albion Press.
You will produce:
This is a lovely way to treat yourself or gift someone some time to learn a new skill or practice a rusty one. The woodblock printing process creates a unique style of print with the beautiful wood grain texture to make special gifts for friends and family or even yourself!
No experience necessary.
All materials and home made mince pies with refreshments are included!
