Immerse yourself in the art of Linocut printmaking on this weekend long course at the Yard Print Studio.
SATURDAY 5th & SUNDAY 6th APRIL
10.30am - 4.30pm
In a small group setting with print tutor Nichola Goff you will go through the linocut process from designing, carving and printing to produce 2 colour relief prints.
Over the weekend you will learn:
How to transfer designs to a linocut block
How to prepare and carve lino using lino carving tools.
How to prepare relief printing inks and ink up a lino block.
How to layer blocks to create multi-colour prints.
Methods to relief print by hand and using the Albion Press.
You will produce:
A limited edition of hand-made lino prints.
This is a great course for beginners or for those who have some experience of lino and want to develop their skills or experiment with the process. The Yard Print Studio is a friendly supportive environment and the weekend courses are a great opportunity to get familiar with the space and delve more deeply into a print process.
Nichola Goff is a multi-disciplinary printmaker using a variety of techniques in her work. Nichola runs the Yard Print Studio and has nearly 20 years printmaking experience and teaching practice. Check out her work here:
